St. Vincent de Paul Society (St. Patrick): Food for Neighbors in Need

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville is a Catholic lay organization that provides person-to-person assistance to neighbors facing hardship. Mary Martha Thrift Shop is proud to support the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Patrick, with our charitable awards helping buy food for neighbors in need.
Person-to-Person Help with Dignity
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is known for its personal, confidential approach to service. Vincentians visit neighbors in their homes, listen to their stories, and offer direct assistance tailored to each situation. At St. Patrick, the SVdP conference serves the parishes of St. Patrick, St. Theodore, and St. Joseph, including residents of Wentzville and Lake St. Louis. Through direct service and compassionate support, the conference offers food, financial aid, housing assistance, transportation, prescription support, and more — always maintaining the dignity and confidentiality of those they serve.
Mary Martha's charitable awards specifically help the SVdP conference buy food for neighbors in need, keeping the food pantry stocked and responsive to the community. For a family facing an empty pantry, this assistance can be the difference between hunger and hope.

Our mission to serve the underserved aligns closely with the SVdP tradition of person-to-person service. As St. Patrick Catholic Church is one of the seven churches behind Mary Martha Thrift Shop, supporting its SVdP conference is both a partnership and a reinvestment in our shared community.
