St. John's United Church of Christ: Supporting Many Missions
St. John's United Church of Christ, located in rural Foristell, Missouri, is one of the seven local churches that support Mary Martha Thrift Shop — and also one of our charitable award recipients. Mary Martha's awards to St. John's UCC support a remarkable range of missions: Strong Tower Ranch, the St. John's UCC Youth Outreach Fund, the New Melle Food Pantry, VFW Post 5651, and the American Legion Auxiliary Wentzville Unit 323.
A Church That Multiplies Its Impact
St. John's UCC takes a broad view of community service, directing its resources to a diverse set of causes that together touch nearly every corner of our community. Support for Strong Tower Ranch helps a Christ-centered refuge offer hope to young people through equine and camp programs. The St. John's UCC Youth Outreach Fund invests in the next generation. The New Melle Food Pantry feeds families in the western part of our region. And support for VFW Post 5651 and the American Legion Auxiliary Wentzville Unit 323 honors and assists our local veterans and their families.
This layered approach means that a single gift to St. John's UCC ripples outward, strengthening youth programs, food security, and veteran support all at once.
Why Mary Martha Supports St. John's UCC
As a donation-led thrift shop supported by seven local churches, Mary Martha values partners who understand that community service is not one cause but many. St. John's UCC embodies that understanding, and our charitable award helps extend their reach across the region.
In 2025, our charitable awards reached $217,632 across more than 30 local organizations. St. John's UCC is a vital part of that giving, supporting youth, families, and veterans across our community.
