Salvation Army Emergency Lodge: Housing & Employment Assistance

The Salvation Army has served the St. Charles County community for generations, and its Emergency Lodge provides critical shelter and support for neighbors experiencing homelessness. Mary Martha Thrift Shop is proud to support the Salvation Army Emergency Lodge, with our charitable awards funding housing and employment assistance, as well as cleaning materials to keep the shelter sanitized and safe.
Shelter as a Starting Point
The Emergency Lodge offers more than a bed for the night. It provides a structured, supportive environment where neighbors experiencing homelessness can begin to rebuild. Housing assistance helps individuals secure more permanent living situations, while employment assistance helps them find and keep work — the foundation of long-term stability. Case managers work with residents to address the root causes of homelessness and connect them with ongoing support.
Keeping the shelter clean and sanitized is essential to the health and dignity of everyone who stays there. Mary Martha's awards help fund the cleaning materials that make that possible, ensuring the lodge remains a safe, welcoming place for neighbors in crisis.
