Immaculate Conception Catholic Church SVdP: Keeping Utilities On
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church is a Catholic lay organization dedicated to person-to-person assistance for neighbors facing hardship. Mary Martha Thrift Shop is proud to support the SVdP Society at Immaculate Conception, with our charitable awards helping neighbors pay electric, gas, water, and sewer bills, or their mortgage or rent.
Person-to-Person Help with Dignity
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is known for its personal, confidential approach. Vincentians visit neighbors in their homes, listen to their stories, and offer direct assistance tailored to each situation. At Immaculate Conception, the SVdP conference focuses heavily on utility and housing assistance — the foundational needs that keep a family safe and stable. When a neighbor receives a shut-off notice or faces eviction, SVdP steps in to help keep the lights on, the water running, and the family housed.
This kind of assistance prevents small crises from becoming catastrophes. A utility payment today can prevent homelessness tomorrow. SVdP's compassionate, non-judgmental approach ensures that asking for help is met with respect.
