Faith United Church of Christ: Comprehensive Neighbor Assistance
Faith United Church of Christ, located at 106 Kent Drive in Wentzville, Missouri, is one of the seven local churches that support Mary Martha Thrift Shop — and a generous partner in serving our community. Mary Martha's charitable awards to Faith UCC fund a remarkably broad range of assistance: food, utility, auto, and gasoline assistance; rent help; Greyhound bus trips home for those stranded; Crown Optical eyewear; Crossroads Heritage lodging; and support for Love Serving God Ministries.
Meeting Neighbors Where They Are
Faith UCC's outreach meets real, everyday needs that too often go unmet. A family behind on the electric bill. A car that won't start and a job that can't wait. A tank of gas to get to a new job across town. A bus ticket home for someone who has nowhere else to turn. A pair of glasses so a neighbor can see clearly again. Lodging for someone between homes. Each of these is a small crisis on its own, but together they can overwhelm a family. Faith UCC steps into those moments with practical help and genuine care.
This comprehensive approach reflects a deep understanding that poverty is not one problem — it is many problems arriving at once. By addressing several needs through one trusted point of contact, Faith UCC helps neighbors regain stability.
A Church Rooted in Service
Faith UCC is also home to Magic World Preschool, which Mary Martha separately supports with scholarship and tuition assistance. As one of the seven churches behind Mary Martha Thrift Shop, Faith UCC provides volunteers, leadership, and a shared commitment to serving the underserved. Our charitable award to their assistance programs is a direct investment in the well-being of our neighbors.
In 2025, Mary Martha's charitable awards reached $217,632 across more than 30 local organizations. Faith UCC's broad assistance ministry is a vital part of that giving.
