Crossroads Clinic is a Volunteers In Medicine (VIM) clinic providing free medical services to lower-income adults across St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln, and Montgomery counties. For neighbors who fall through the gaps of the healthcare system — those not covered by Medicare or Medicaid and unable to afford insurance — Crossroads Clinic is a lifeline. Mary Martha Thrift Shop is proud to support Crossroads Clinic, with our charitable awards helping patients receive restorative dental procedures and diabetic supplies.

Healthcare for Those Who Would Otherwise Go Without

Access to healthcare should never depend on income, yet for many of our neighbors, it does. Crossroads Clinic exists to bridge that gap. Staffed largely by volunteer physicians, nurses, dentists, and pharmacists, the clinic offers free primary care, medications, and specialized services to adults who have no other place to turn. Patients can obtain an application by phone, online, or at the clinic on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Mary Martha's charitable awards specifically help fund restorative dental procedures — work that relieves pain, restores function, and renews confidence — and diabetic supplies that help patients manage a chronic condition safely. For someone struggling financially, a filling or a glucometer can be the difference between health and crisis.

Why Mary Martha Supports Crossroads Clinic

Our mission is to serve the underserved, and few needs are more fundamental than health. Crossroads Clinic shares our belief that everyone deserves care, regardless of their ability to pay. By supporting the clinic, Mary Martha helps ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors can see a doctor, fill a prescription, and receive dental care that would otherwise be out of reach.

In 2025, our charitable awards reached $217,632 across more than 30 local organizations. Crossroads Clinic is a vital part of that giving, reflecting our commitment to health and dignity for all.
